The Leatherjacket Threat
Leatherjackets are the grubs of crane flies (daddy longlegs). They hatch in your soil over winter and aggressively eat the roots of your grass in the spring. Your lawn will turn yellow, die in large patches, and can often be peeled back like a loose carpet because there are no roots left holding it down.
The Total Replacement Solution
Chemical treatments for leatherjackets are often ineffective and highly restricted. The most reliable solution is physical removal. We use turf cutters to strip the dead lawn and physically scrape away the infested top layer of soil where the grubs reside. We then import clean, fresh topsoil and lay a brand new, healthy lawn, giving you a completely fresh start.
